Following a sold-out New York City preview run at 59E59 Off-Broadway, A Eulogy For Roman will make its official world premiere at the 75th Edinburgh Fringe, August 2022. Writer and solo performer Brendan George leads as Milo, a young man who travels from The United States to Edinburgh with an urn and a promise – to eulogize the recent death of his childhood best friend. Milo and his guests join to complete the memorial; together they confront death, celebrate life, and make a promise of their own… After 60 whirlwind minutes, audiences are guaranteed a darkly comedic coming-of-age tale that will linger long after they’ve left the theatre.

Brendan George and Peter Charney are New York City-based theatre artists proud to be making their Edinburgh Fringe debuts! Brendan is currently a member of the NYU Grad Acting class of 2024. As a solo performer, he starred in the twice-extended U.S. premiere of Bleach (Wilson Lounge) and led the world premiere of The Crisis Actor (Laurie Beechman Theatre). Peter is the co-creator and director of Bright and Brave, an original musical which has played to sold-out audiences Off-Broadway. A Eulogy for Roman marks their first collaboration as they explore what makes the shared experience of theatre truly vital.

Tickets for performances at Edinburgh Fringe ‘22 are no longer available.
